If the build was starting at 20 or if they're zerging through heroic levels very quickly, I'd agree that I'd probably prefer a pure 20 warlock. That'a not really the vibe I get from playing with your SO though, and warlock's survivability in heroics can feel lackluster without PL and RXP support, which is something remedied by blood tribute.
