Besides it's usefulness, I always have a really fun time using it versus the Ikelos smg, which is also fantastic but i just get bored since its gameplay loop is little more than a 'reload to voltshot' machine in pve ... But an optimal Opulant Chest Farm is about 20 hours grinding out a very mind numbing route ...Farm EP even if you have all the IKELOS weapons . SGA I had the sniper and SMG but hadn't had the shotgun drop yet so I ran EP for a little over an hour with a team of 8 others from LFG (even though it can be done with 4 or less now). Haven't had that many legendary and prime engrams drop in multiple hours of Blind Well or Strikes.

Yah. I've gotten one red border Ikelos weapon from him this season. Might also be in the world loot pool but I haven't seen a red border from that myself. Thanks for any info! I would shape an SMG since riskrunner takes your exotic slot when there are much better exotics to use. That’s what I was thinking too. Probably either a hand cannon or pulse rifle. Use ikelos so you can run witherhorde or arbalest or an exotic heavy. If you're actively hunting these weapons due to reading that they are Meta this is outdated information. While both of them are decent there are better options (IKELOS is great, warmind cells were nerfed / Gnawing Hunger is nothing special at all at the moment, decent void adaptive AR). IKELOS is probably still one of the best SMGs regardless ...Destiny 2 Season 22 brings some exciting new content, like rare exotic quests and powerful Ikelos and Season of the Haunted red borders.
